Our Community

St. Francis of Assisi Parish is a multi-cultural community – predominantly Puerto Rican, African American and young adults – that offers a warm welcome to all.

Situated in the heart of “Brewers Hill” on the near north side of downtown Milwaukee, those who call St. Francis their home look upon themselves more as “family” than “church."

In addition to worship services, the parish offers opportunities for service and activities within and outside of the parish community:

More than just a parish building, the parish center will be a community hub for ministry to all our black, latino, and white neighbors.

El Ministerio Hispano de la Parroquia de San Francisco sirve a la comunidad que habla en español a través de oportunidades para crecer en la fe y en el servicio.

Free tax preparation program, prison ministry program, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mass at and pastoral care to the Plymouth Manor Nursing Home

The St. Francis Youth Group is an opportunity for high school age students of the parish to come together for faith, friendship and fun.

We have many ways to get "plugged in" to St. Francis of Assisi Parish including a variety of councils and committees.

Prayer Chain, Circulo, Prayer Groups, Music Ministry and more.
